Hey Mayumi! Yes, I agree that my expectations for a novel that I’ve spent years on are much different from those I have for a blog post. I think it’s good to have a wide range of expectations for our work so that we can practice and shape our writing in ways that bring us the most joy and fulfillment.
Great point about fanfiction. I’ve never tried writing in that genre, and it’s totally because it isn’t mine to begin with. So I feel like I’m intruding on someone else’s territory. But the fact there is an established audience to write to is a great way to help us practice and hone our skills.

Good luck with reaching the goal for your WIP!
