I know I’m two weeks late with that header, but I had more pressing projects on my mind last weekend. Anyway, everybody at WordPress should have gotten a stats report for 2013. You can click the link below to see mine.
Click here to see the complete report.
If I were a savvy blogger, I’d use this data to build my blog around what visitors want to see…which, in my case, isΒ “underwater [or under water] sex” and “scuba sex fiction.” So, join me next time, when I’ll be chatting frankly and in-depth about deep-sea ice f***ing! (Not really.)
Special thanks to my top commenters of 2013:
Aww, I was actually looking forward to seeing what one could do with all those tubes and breathing apparatuses….
I think that would lose me the rest of my already-small readership, Phillip. But, it might make for an interesting cyberpunk-sex discussion…. π
Love your most frequent search terms!
My report was interesting, too, and I don’t usually get into stats. But it’s hard to ignore when they send you a summary that you can open with one click of the button.
Thanks for the shout-out, and thanks for giving us a neat blog to follow. π
I’m very happy to be in your Top 5 commenters, Mayumi. π I had to smile at the search terms that lead to your blog. If you really were interested only in growing your numbers, I’d suggest some posts along those lines. But I suspect, like me, you’re a quality over quantity blogger. π
I’m looking forward to more of both your great posts and your insightful comments on my blog in 2014. π
Overall, I think stats don’t mean much, at least to me, since what I really crave is interaction. But, there’s a part of me that always gets sucked in by them. At least I’ve moved past comparing my stats to other people’s.
I hope to offer some different posts than just what the majority of people come looking for, in the coming year. π
You’re right, JM. Statistics can be interesting, but I don’t want to be ruled by them. π
Thanks for sticking with me through the past year. It was a long one with lots of ups and downs. I’m looking forward to a brighter 2014 both here and around the blogging town. π
What mostly shocked me was to see that you had 56 new posts last year! That’s just over one a week, and yet I felt like you’d hardly written any posts last year, so now I’m wondering if there’s something wrong with the notifications. I don’t have time to comment on all of the blogs I follow but I do at least mentally acknowledge when they come in! I do all my blog reading from the Reader now, not email. Hmmm, I’m going to keep an eye on this.
I know WP was having issues with my alerts around mid-year 2013, though it cleared itself up (or enough people complained to make them notice) after about 4-6 weeks. Hopefully, you did not miss out on too many blogs! There were some great posts in 2013. (My own were pretty mediocre after sometime in June.)
I hope your studies are going well, Vanessa. Thanks for taking the time to stop in! π
Happy to be one of your top 5 commenters! π LOL. I am so in for that blog next week–it’s hysterical and I’d love to see where you take it.
I’d meant that topic as a gag, Kourtney. But, since one of my top commenters is interested, I will seriously have to rethink that stance. π
